About

    Photographing filtered light in black and white was my first love. The second was crystal, turquoise ocean. Dreaming of both I went to college and travelled, and now have found my third, and greatest, love is being a mother to two wild, sweet, magical sons.

    I came back to Kauai, where I was born and raised, to give my boys the childhood I had; in the ocean, playing outside with muddy feet, growing food, camping, family, community, culture... I feel lucky to say we are all growing on a small farm in Anahola. Being able to do  what I love to support us is a blessing. Photographing beautiful moments, small, often overlooked details, keeps me inspired, smiling, adventurous, and appreciative. The medium has connected me with wonderful  people from so many parts of the world. Any chance I have I try to use it as a tool for spreading environmental and cultural awareness, appreciation, preservation and positive change. I hope to do my part in giving something back to a place that has given us so much.
